Jefferson Hunt Ltd. is registered as an umbrella body with the Criminal Records Bureau in England and Wales. This means we are able to access the Disclosure service on behalf of our clients who are entitled to the information but are not registered with the CRB. Not all roles can be CRB checked and Jefferson Hunt will advise the client as to what roles qualify for CRB Disclosure. A CRB report takes a minimum of 7 days but can take as long as four weeks. Through our extensive international agent network we are also able to provide criminal record checks in certain countries in the world.
Jefferson Hunt Limited is able to conduct CRB checks, enabling organisations to ensure they make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain employment, especially work that involves children or vulnerable adults.

Depending on the level of check, the CRB will provide the following information:
- Details of all convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings held on the PNC (Police National Computer)
- Information from the POCA (Protection of Children List Act)
- Information from the POVA (Protection of Vulnerable List Act)
- Information held by the DCSF under Section142 of the Education Act 2002 of hose considered unsuitable or banned from working with children.
- Any additional information considered relevant by the Chief Police Officer(s)
